Specialty Aide Programs
Some patients, depending on their medical needs and insurance coverage, may be eligible for certain long-term specialty home health programs when documented, diagnosed medical conditions require extensive services or substantial physical assistance with activities of daily living but little skilled care. These specialty home health care programs provide service for patients with paraplegia and quadriplegia who require little skilled care and need long term maintenance with activities of daily living, along with some other services, usually twice a day. The home health agency provides the required care to meet the patient’s needs without billing for each service or visit. Zion’s Way is proud to provide these services in certain corners or our service area. Because these programs differ from traditional home health services they also require unique staffing models; thus, these programs are not offered at all Zion’s Way locations and are considered on a case-by-case basis.
